QUESTIONNAIRE

Teaching Renewable Energy Science and Technology,

The Search for Solutions to Current Obstacles

The goal of this questionnaire is to compile diverse ideas and concerns and communicate them to the stakeholders with a summary of requisites and good practices for a Broader Teaching of RE science foundation and technologies as well as for knowledge dissemination.

The questionnaire is designed to further analyze the current obstacles to the broader teaching of renewable energy (RE) science and technology.  Answers may not be short or simple; they could be just advises on what should be done to construct the best response and, more generally, to solve problems that hinder a Broader Teaching of RE. Proponents and opponents are invited to join the discussion. Diverse views will show eagerness of many to learn more about RE teaching. Compilation of these ideas will enable teachers to move towards excellence in teaching RE science and technologies. Opinions will be shared with all participants.

The questionnaire is a five page document, in which fifteen essential questions are provided with guidance and citations. Sure, you have other questions to ask, please send them to the forum and consider this opportunity to instill an interactive exchange with interested parties. Please feel free to send this invitation to your network, and to include your students in this discussion. Don't hesitate to share ideas, their use will enrich our understanding of the issues we are facing.

I look forward to see a fruitful debate emerging.

       Sincerely,

       Prof. A. Karoui
